The 4th Annual Carolina Book and Writer Conference will feature Keynote Speaker Larry Perkins, vice president at the PNC Arena. He will share his inspiring story of success coming from humble beginnings. This event boasts six panels with experts from around the state discussing an array of topics from writing to promotion. The conference will occur on February 15 at the McKimmon Center in Raleigh.
“We are excited to expand to a regional conference, and this year’s theme is Writing Your Legacy with a panel by the same name. Come participate and hear our new panels about romance writing (fresh on the heels of Valentine’s Day), children’s literature, and life as a freelancer. Additional requested panels will impart knowledge about innovative writing (film, speaking, and business promotion books) and our ever-popular marketing panel. We expect writers from across the Southeast to join us.” — Drew Becker, CBWC Cofounder
The 4th Annual Carolina Book and Writer Conference began as a way to help prospective and beginning writers as well as published authors to learn the ins and outs of writing and marketing. Our keynote by Larry Perkins will inspire those who are considering writing a memoir or autobiography.
“This conference is dedicated to supporting writers and authors across the Southeast. Initially, our goal was to simply serve the Triangle or even the state, but in the past few years, we have seen people from Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida attend CBWC. We are extremely excited as experts from all over the country converge on Raleigh, NC, with one goal, to support writers and authors!” — Omar McCallop, CBWC Cofounder
