Tampa, Florida – January 27, 2020 – There are so many new books published on a daily basis that it is easy to miss out on the truly superb ones. Angie Gold has just published one of those rare, but superb books. It is called “Unbreakable” and is a testament to the authors unbreakable spirit. Her true story is very relatable to many other individuals who have found themselves growing up to adulthood and being tested by adverse situations. Not all such people make it through the tunnel of despair and emerge as fruitful adults, as some end up in mental institutions, drug rehabs or alcoholics.
“Unbreakable” illustrates that such hardships growing up can be surmounted and can end in happiness. Angie Gold has proven herself an excellent wordsmith as readers have commented that they felt as if the author was sitting in the room reading her story as they read her book.
Make no mistake about it, this is 150+ pages of insightful and inspirational reading. Angie is one of “Germany’s Brown Babies”. For many of the now-adult children of white German women and African American GIs, adopted by families in the United States after World War II, the search for the truth has been difficult.
The story begins with the author’s Mother dealing with childhood life in Nazi Germany and finally, after her Mom met an American soldier was able to move the family to the USA. That, in and of itself was a blessing, but as the story unfolds, one can see the negative twists and turns that Angie had to live through.
Reader Testimonials tell the story. Take a look at what Boopie67, a Verified Reader, had to say, “5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!! Man oh man!! I could relate to this book on soooo many levels. Angie is a great writer and I saw myself everywhere. Looking forward to the next book or movie. Great job Ms Gold…and thanks to the “Angel’s” you mentioned that helped you along your road.”
This is what ValMul, a Verified Reader, had to say, 5.0 out of 5 stars – A True Story About perseverance. This book is a page-turner about perseverance in life and weathering the storms! Some sections were hard to take, but I kept reading to see how it turns out! It definitely takes courage to survive and I admire the author for sharing her story and pressing on to find her “true” love!”
During a recent interview, Angie made these comments, “Being a single parent raising three kids alone and a survivor of Domestic Violence. I was married several times and went from one abusive situation to the next, leaving each with a few more scars that the last. When I married my first husband, I was young and did not have any family around. Although he was abusive, I felt like it would have been too traumatic to leave simply because he was taking care of the kids and me, so I stayed. After finding my forever soulmate, finding the one person who truly was the Love of my life, only to lose him to cancer in 2018. It’s been two years and I am still trying to make sense of all of this. Now I am living my life for the first time alone.”
