Author Doris A. Gast captures the enduring power of love, family, and faith in her latest historical novel, A New Tomorrow. Set in Civil War–era Kentucky, the story follows the Ellis family as they struggle to protect their home, their land, and one another amid the chaos of a divided nation.
At the heart of the novel is Cooper Ellis, the family patriarch, who wants nothing to do with the war tearing the country apart. Yet conflict finds him when his two sons take opposing sides—brother against brother. Meanwhile, Bonner Ellis’s new bride becomes the target of a dangerous stalker determined to harm her. As threats close in from every direction, Cooper must summon all his strength to defend his family and preserve the homestead built through generations of hard work and sacrifice.
A New Tomorrow is a stirring tale of resilience, courage, and unwavering faith. Through vivid storytelling and heartfelt emotion, Doris A. Gast paints a portrait of a family bound by love and guided by belief in God even in the darkest times.
