The shift in fashion trends towards emphasizing cultural identity and the uniqueness of fashion brands is overthrowing the domination of globalization in the industry. In light of this, the importance of grand international events like Moscow Fashion Week, scheduled from March 13 to 18, lies in shining a spotlight on designers from emerging countries and promising young brands.

Fashion labels hailing from regions with rapidly growing economies are being presented with an unparalleled opportunity for a swift and impactful debut at Moscow Fashion Week. This platform serves as a gateway for these brands to showcase their collections on a global scale. Representatives from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America eagerly partake in the shows, discussions, and educational sessions of the event. Noteworthy designers from the USA and Spain are also joining this year’s lineup, recognizing the significance of establishing a presence in emerging markets. In total, over 200 fashion collections from diverse countries will be unveiled during Moscow Fashion Week.

North America will be represented by New York designer Pia Lindsay, who will close the event with her show. “Moscow has always been a city I’ve dreamed of visiting,- shared Pia Lindsay, — and I’m deeply grateful for the chance to present my brand there. I’m also passionate about learning from diverse cultural experiences.”

Moscow Fashion Week will also highlight brands with strong national identities such as Vereja, which was recognized as the “most talked about Moscow brand” by Vogue in 2020. Vereja skillfully incorporates folklore and traditional crafts into knitted patterns and prints. Another standout is ogo citizen, blending the historical heritage of Yakutia with avant-garde fashion trends. Saint Petersburg based brand Elisabetta will present a collection inspired by the 70s, featuring enveloping silhouettes with a bohemian touch. Additionally, ROGOV offers a fresh take on unconventional shapes and textures.

In the new season, Moscow Fashion Week has received more than a thousand applications within the country and from foreign regions, which shows the growing interest in the event. For Canada, Europe and the United States, such events can be a good opportunity to follow the changing trends of the global fashion industry and enter markets that were not considered promising before, but now claim high positions in global development ratings.

The new season of Moscow Fashion Week attracted over a thousand applications from both Russian and international candidates, signaling a growing interest in the event.
