Author’s Tranquility Press is thrilled to introduce Echoes of the Past by Maya Mitra Das, a mesmerizing story weaving together the lives of two extraordinary men across centuries, bound by their shared devotion to creativity and purpose.
Set against the vivid backdrop of 15th-century Florence, Echoes of the Past begins with Niccolo Bardi, a Renaissance sculptor who believes that creativity is the lifeblood of all endeavors. For Niccolo, sculpting is more than art—it’s a conduit to bring life and meaning to his creations, a testament to his philosophy that “creativity flows endlessly across all fields of work.”
Centuries later, in 20th-century England, Rudy, an accomplished neurosurgeon and Indian émigré, finds solace and inspiration in Niccolo’s biography. As Rudy grapples with his own challenges of starting anew in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Niccolo’s legacy becomes a beacon, guiding him to discover parallels between their lives. From art to medicine, Rudy realizes the universality of Niccolo’s wisdom: the power to shape life with passion and intention lies within every individual.
This evocative narrative connects the timeless ideals of dedication, love, and the pursuit of excellence, reminding readers that creativity is not confined to the arts but infuses all professions and endeavors.
