Black family-owned indie Atlanta comic book and manga publisher announces four years of diverse storytelling

ATLANTA – July 11, 2024 – Midnight Comics, the Black family-owned indie comic book and manga publisher and distributor, today announced it is thrilled to release the next installments of popular titles, including Sol, The Grey and The Unbeloved. The publisher, beloved in the community, is also introducing two new titles, Dreamweaver and Godhand, to engage young readers.

Midnight Comics is owned by a husband-and-wife team with three children. The couple is known as a dynamic duo who grew up in the nerd soace. The company is an Atlanta institution inspired by the world of video games and mainstream comics, who have made a significant mark in the indie publishing space. Midnight Comics inspires a departure from stereotypes, inspiring readers, creative people and those new to the fantasy literature world. The company has recently reached the milestone of four amazing years of storytelling.

“Midnight Comics is our passion project,” said Lloyd and Natosha Jones, owners of Midnight Comics. “We are lifelong fans of the genre. The titles defy stereotypes, allowing our children and other young readers to see multi-dimensional characters who look like them.”

Midnight Comics has a stellar reputation as a significant indie comic book resource. Its stories are available online, at conventions, and through crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter.

The couple added, “Readers will identify with a diverse array of characters and fantasy worlds that resonate with readers. Each title that we publish speaks to our representation commitment and extending the scope of only the best storytelling.”
