Tiny Stories LLC, a leader in innovative children’s products, today announced the launch of their groundbreaking training spoon designed to assist babies in learning how to self-feed. The Early Learner Spoon’s double-concave design increases the likelihood of successful scooping, making mealtimes more enjoyable for both babies and parents.
“The dual-sided scoop significantly simplifies self-feeding for babies. No matter how the spoon is turned, there’s always a scoop facing upwards, making it remarkably easy for little ones to get food onto the spoon by themselves. This design is a game-changer in encouraging early independence during meal times,” said Caitlin Mikkonen, a behavior analyst. “As babies successfully use the spoon, their sense of accomplishment grows, which is key for developing both confidence and a positive relationship with food.”
The Early Learner Spoon’s unique design also includes a shallow bowl to accommodate the less developed lip control of young children and a flat edge to make side-of-bowl scooping easier. The soft, safe material is gentle on teeth and gums, and the custom handle is designed for little hands.
“Our goal was to create a utensil that naturally enhances baby’s proprioceptive feedback, helping children develop a better awareness of their finger and hand movements. It’s a wonderful tool for fostering self-reliance and motor skill advancement in early childhood,” said Daniel Wantz, co-founder of Tiny Stories. “We’ve used 100% non-toxic platinum silicone, which is safe, durable, and easy on sensitive gums.”
Tiny Stories is committed to sustainability and reducing their carbon footprint through the use of 100% recycled or recyclable materials in their packaging.
