When Orb.co founder Aaron King created a wall art shop featuring beautiful nature photography, his mission was clear: Get nature’s beauty into homes everywhere.
“We believe deeply in the power of nature’s beauty,” Aaron explains. “Have you noticed the peace and serenity you feel in the great outdoors? That’s the feeling we want to put into homes. They looked into using existing 3rd-party travel voucher programs, and for a time, they did. But all the 3rd party programs had issues they didn’t want their customers to have to face: “For example,” Aaron explains, “some of the programs would make customers pay the taxes & fees upfront before customers could even see the available resorts and dates—and you couldn’t get your money back if you didn’t like the options or if the voucher expired on you.”
Aaron continues: “We wanted something that genuinely added value for every single customer. Not something that gave the illusion of value but in reality left many customers losing money.” Plus, they wanted vouchers that never expired to ensure every customer gets their vacation, whether sooner or later. The only option, they realized, was to build their own in-house voucher program.
Knowing that most hotels and resorts don’t run at full capacity for most of the year, Orb.co set up partnerships to fill otherwise empty rooms at resorts & hotels.
