The first of the big changes is on estate and gift taxes. The tax exclusions have gone up this year for tax filers.
The second of the biggest changes is in itemized deductions and standard deductions. Both have risen for the coming year. Standard deductions for the blind and those over 65 have also gone up. However, certain rules are still applicable for anyone who can be claimed as a dependent.
