After spending almost 29 years serving as a physician in the U.S. Army, Maureen M. Petersen, MD is putting away her combat boots and taking the next step in her career. As a general pediatrician and allergist/immunologist, Dr. Petersen has extensive experience caring for patients with a range of acute and chronic health conditions. She is also an accomplished life coach, having helped numerous clients to achieve their goals and overcome obstacles in their personal and professional lives.
Dr. Petersen’s coaching business offers practical advice and strategies to parents who find it challenging to balance their personal lives with their child’s long-term illness, inspired by the practical guidance and strategies outlined in her bestselling book “Reclaiming Life: A Guide for Parents of Chronically Ill Children.” The support offered by Dr. Petersen allows parents to stop struggling alone. Her coaching approach is based on a combination of empathy, understanding, and practical advice.
