The Lick King is the epitome of evil, at least inside the expansive world of WoW. His power and malice are unparalleled. The Lord of the undead Scourge, wielder of the cursed runeblade Frostmourne, and nemesis of the living, the Lick King will stop at nothing until all life on Azeroth is extinguished. WoW players can once again experience the game through the eyes of the evil Lich King in this new expansion pack set to be released during 2022.
The expansion was first released in 2008, with the original Vanilla Classic and was considered most popular by the World of Warcraft Players. Besides featuring Arthas Menethil, The Lich King as the main antagonist, players will now be able to level up in the frozen continent of Northrend as the level cap has been raised from 70 to 80. Unlike The Burning Crusade, there are no new races, though WOTLK Classic features the hero class called: Death Knight once again. These gruesome warriors wielding death magic start as level 55 characters and are available to players who have reached level 58 previously through a different class.
Players will once again be facing Kel’Thuzad, the right-hand of Arthas, albeit this time the dreaded necropolis Naxxramas has been moved to the continent of Northrend. Set of mages have ‘restored’ the famed city of Dalaran, which serves as the capital/sanctuary city for both Alliance and Horde in Northrend. Finally, the Wrath of the Lich King Classic expansion comes at no additional cost – it is available to all players who already have a basic World of Warcraft subscription, either for WoW Classic or Shadowlands.
