I Love A Hangar, an Australia-based online retail store for aviation-inspired apparel, is looking to expand its offerings two years after it started its operations. The new product offerings will include new shoe designs, clothing, and gifts for aviation enthusiasts. Portions of the sales are set to support Aviation Museums and Warbird Restoration projects around the world.
“We are the leaders in warbird-themed shoes and apparel,” says the team from I Love A Hangar. Since its establishment, the company has been sharing its passion for flight by creating bespoke aviation-themed products that proudly showcase vintage aircraft and support efforts to maintain these pioneering aviation legacies.
Currently, the company is supporting various aviation museums and restoration projects, including the Bomber Command Museum of Canada and the Hawker Typhoon Preservation Group in the UK. Museums and restoration projects looking for funding assistance are free to contact I Love A Hangar to discuss details. The company’s highly anticipated release of new offerings aims to expand efforts to back similar causes and provide aviation-enthusiasts quality products that bring aviation nostalgia.
The expanded offerings reimagine timeless designs of iconic aircraft throughout history and adorn them with contemporary details that appeal to trendy aviators. This new collection pays tribute to astounding individuals and air navigations feats that left a remarkable impact in history. The offerings highlight unmatched craftsmanship, high-grade materials, and unique artistry. All items are hand-crafted and custom made-to-order.
One of the latest additions to I Love A Hangar’s aviation-themed collection is the canvas shoes inspired by the bomber aircraft Lancaster VR-A (affectionally known around the warbird community as VeRA). The shoes feature the aircraft’s distinctive markings and colorings. They are fitted with soft textile lining and a durable outsole that comes in two colors – black and white. The Lancaster VR-A shoes have several low-top and high-top variations and are available for both men and women.
A portion of the sales from Lancaster VR-A goes directly to Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, a non-profit organization dedicated to keeping “VeRA” flying, which is one of only two airworthy Lancasters remaining in the world.
The company has also recently expanded its shoe collection to include larger shoe sizes. I Love A Hangar clients with US14 and US15 sizes can now finally get their own aviation-themed shoes. These sizes are currently limited to some of the company’s designs, but the I Love A Hangar team says they’re currently working on increasing these numbers.
