Los Angeles, CA, USA – January 8, 2021 – The fierce screenwriting competition includes writers from all over the world and divides the scripts into seven genre categories. Multiple judges who are professionals in the entertainment industry then read, sift, and vote on thousands of entrants searching for the best emerging screenwriters with exceptional screenplays.
Elizabeth’s screenplay, “When I Grow Up”, was chosen as a Top 25 in the Historical/Biopic genre and is based on the phenomenal true story of Elizabeth Blackwell.
“I wanted to find a story that I felt very passionate about writing… and to see Ms. Blackwell pursue her dreams of being the first female doctor overcoming enormous barriers of outrageous fortune and sexism to achieve her goals, well… it’s just so life-affirming. I’m hoping this script goes into production, so that her story can inspire countless others to pursue their own dreams of what they really want to be when they grow up,” says Ms. Rossi.
Nominated as a Top Female Author in 2019, Elizabeth has also recently published a romantic comedy series starting with the title “A Night at the Monte Carlo” and is currently working on a sequel, “New Years in Paris”.
