Cosmic Swan: Flight into Eternity by Bill Copeland is a unique blend of fantasy, sci-fi and adventure that combines to leave anybody spellbound with every passing page. To learn more about this beautifully written story that had readers gripped from the first page till the last the author sat down to tell more. The following are his thoughts and feelings on what he wants the book to deliver to a wider audience.
“I’ve always had an active imagination so one day I decided to put it to good use and get one of the stories I would run through in my head down on paper. The journey wasn’t always quick and easy, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The result is a story that I hope transcends several different genres so that you can appreciate it in a variety of different ways. I also want it to be a story that gets people thinking about what it means to be human and how we need one another now more than ever, especially with what’s going on in the world right now.”
Interesting, that’s such a unique take on writing fiction. So, with that in mind, what does he see as the main message of the book?
“Firstly I’d like to say that you can read this book on two levels. If you want something that has you gripped right away and tells a story you can lose yourself in, you’ve certainly come to the right place. But if you want something a little deeper that offers you the time and space you need to sit and reflect, then you’ll find it offers you plenty of that as well. The key thing is to just enjoy the story and see where it takes your mind. By seeing if the main character and his unlikely companion can persuade humanity to save itself, you’ll get a true sense of what really matters when it comes to the world around us.”
Fascinating, so what’s in the pipeline over the next 12 months or so?
“My brain is always working and thinking up new stories and worlds that I want to introduce my readers to so that’s always in the pipeline. But at the moment I’m focusing on getting the word out there about my latest work, hearing what my fans have to say, and then using this as inspiration for my next project. Thanks once again for taking the time to sit with me and I hope that you enjoyed the read as much as I did writing it.”
