Urban Music Basketball Association (UMBA) is a professional basketball organization in the United States of America with 16 teams in 16 states.
In the past week, the UMBA had its first basketball team tryouts in Atlanta, Georgia which was an amazing and entertaining event. The tryouts was graced by the presence of platinum and grammy award winning artist NeYo who stopped by to show his support for the event.
The next three cities for the tryouts are Pennsylvania , Louisiana and Texas.
Super producer and grammy award winner 88 Keys also stopped by and created the UMBA anthem song. Everyone is convinced that the song will top the Billboard charts in the upcoming months. 88 Keys is working on the UMBA’S first compilation album that will feature an A-list artist.
Ex NBA player Mark Davis who played for Philadelphia Seventy-Sixers and the Miami Heat, has signed on as a top Executive of Recruiting with the UMBA. When interviewed, Mark Davis talked about his role of assembling 16 Ex NBA players as coaches and 16 additional ex players to play on each team.
While showing his appreciation for the opportunity given to him to serve the UMBA, Mark Davis Said: “I am excited and would like to thank Mr. Edward Williams for the opportunity to bring great guys together to play and coach at a professional level of this magnitude. I’m looking forward to bringing basketball fans a great product in 2022.
“It’s a lot to be done, but I know with dedication, experience, and perserverance the UMBA will have a successful first season” he added. Mr. Davis also urged others to step to the plate and become accountable for building the community.

Mr. Edward Williams – the founder of the UMBA said that he is grateful to Ne-Yo for stopping by to show his support for the UMBA, and he would always be a fan.
Since the photo of NeYo at the UMBA tryouts has circulated, other artists have called to offer assistance and are willing to get involved from an ownership perspective. The UMBA is looking to hold 15 more tryouts while preparing for their 2022 basketball season.
Mr Williams, the founder of the UMBA said he looks forward to talking to the two queens of entertainment about ownership in their state, Houston Texas, Beyonce and Megan Thee Stallion. These ladies would be a great addition to UMBA’S ownership. Strong black women owners are needed in basketball and there’s no better fit than the Urban Music Basketball Association.
