His first album, “Silhouette”, he played across Bosnia and clubs around Turkey, brings a heritage from such legends of electro music as Hardwell, but also brings his own brand and brand of music that marked his childhood as alternative rock, hip-hop and electro music. Dino’s music today
Since 2019 SHIYE, in his own words “broadens his music view” and extends his art to hip hop. Not only does he create his own samples and music, he also writes his own poetry and does vocals. His biggest inspiration is a European hip hop, especially from France (artists from Marseilles) and Austrian (Vienna rappers). That influence that can be seen in his style and language barriers he breaks: his songs are not only in his native Bosnian but in English, German and there are first songs French language in production! As he grew up and made himself an artist he is today, Dino claims the nature of his music changed: “When I was DJ, the most important thing in my creations was to transfer the energy I felt to my audience. Now, I want to communicate with them through emotions and feelings I live.” In short, giving himself to his art completely. Through his music and his philosophy, Dino shows that an artist must always bring something new and fresh in his work, that he must not stop learning and reinventing himself, or he is going to lose himself. For him, perfect party is not a sea of random people but chosen group of audience, which knows how to enjoy and react to musician and real artist is he who knows to recognize his audience and serve them right energy and emotions.
When we asked Dino, what are his first music roots and inspirations, he said that Linkin Park, Jula and RAF Camoru are big names from the world stage he grew up with, but if he can single out somebody as a mentor and inspiration for all those years, that is Kolateral, Rijad Fazlic, producer and musician, deceased legend of Sarajevo’s music scene. In memory of Kolateral, Dino AKA Shiye left notable homage in his last album: Equinox.
