A new type of home combining the allure and affordability of tiny homes and the great need to improve the environment will soon enter the housing market. Tiny homes have soared in popularity. In fact, many people are turning away from large home purchases to make room for smaller living spaces.
Eco World Homes is preparing to change the small home market by creating properties that address the complex needs of the climate, lowering energy usage inside of homes, and giving prospective home buyers an affordable option.
“The housing market is tough! It is difficult to find a home, especially an affordable one, but there are other pressing concerns for future homeowners like climate change,” Eco World Homes CEO Ali Roushanzamir said.
Eco World Homes’ tiny home concept addresses climate change in its design. Traditional homes have poor insulation leading to increased power consumption and higher utility bills. Eco World Homes properties are constructed using recycled steel panels and polyurethane foam insulation.
“That creates an R-Factor of 30 inside of the homes. Our materials completely insulate the home giving the owner full climate control,” Roushanzamir said. “Our unique insulation system can lower the overall energy consumption to 1.5 kW. If you install solar panels, you would essentiality be living 100% off the grid.”
The integration of blockchain technology gives ECO-World Homeowners more ways to lower their carbon footprint. The company has proprietary software that allows the tiny homeowner to share energy between other tiny homes, bespoke or block-built homes. This way, owners can more carefully monitor their specific energy use and make appropriate adjustments.
“We designed the software so virtually any user can specifically target energy ‘hotspots’ and times when consumption is greatest or smallest. They can then make a few minor adjustments in their lifestyle and quickly make significant changes with their energy consumption,” Roushanzamir said.
The homes are created in Texas and sold throughout Midwest with plans to expand. Each home averages about 220 sq. ft.
