ATLANTA, GA – March 10, 2020 – Angry Insecure Men’ the stage production is being presented on April 1st and 2nd 8:00pm at The Porter Sandford Performing Arts Center. 3181 Rainbow Dr. Decatur Ga. 30330.
The production is a true life story of the writer Angel Terron who was a victim of domestic abuse in three different relationships throughout the course of 13 years. The stage production takes you through the short course of events in each of the relationships. Mari who is played by actress VITELLE ALSTON(Broken Road, Flags On The Field) is struggling for answers. Aiden (played by actor, singer WILLIE TAYLOR (Making the Band, VH1 Hip Hop Of Hollywood, Sacrifice) is the abuser that caused the most pain and inflicting more physical damage, he is a man that was very ANGRY.
Mother Rose in this production is played by actress DREA KELLY (VH1 Hollywood Ex’s, Growing upHip Hop Atlanta) her secrets are the reason Mari has endured such abuse. During the storytelling Mari does find love in an unlikely source, Alexx played by JEREMIAH CLARK who had also endured physical abuse at the hands of his girlfriend. Izzy played by RODNEY STATEN, Marcus played by TYRICE LOLLIS, We find that with faith and prayer you can come through anything. This production will bring awareness to this disease and show men and women the warning signs. It’s okay to have a voice.
ABOUT ANGEL TERRON
Born and raised in the brick city of Newark, New Jersey Angel is a PD. (Preachers Daughter) – African American/ Bi Racial, Angel left NJ with her mother and brother in 1975 after her parents divorce. Her mother headed west to L.A. but not long after living in the big city her mother decided it was time to move from the fast city life. They packed up and headed south. Angel grew up in a small town called Cocoa Florida. After graduating, she moved to Georgia considered the Hollywood of the South. In 1997 with her first company Angel’s Inc which specialized in model placement. In 2004 she started her own casting company called Angel’s Casting, where she would send aspiring actors out on extra casting calls, in doing so she met a woman that asked her if she would be interested in a co-leading role for the film” A Cigarette Moment” Angel audition and got the part of “Sheila Monroe”. After filming Angel was featured as an extra in (Mr. Tyler Perry’s) first film. “Diary of a Mad Black Woman. Angel went on to be extras in a few films in Atlanta (Rain Forest Films, Rob Hardy and Will Packer) “The Gospel” featuring Idris Elba, Boris Kodjoe and “ATL” featuring Tip Harris.
In 2005 Angel decided to write her first novella called Reply or Delete an Internet Love affair. The novella deals with infidelity on the Internet. This book speaks about the effects of “choices” we make when we are not happy in our relationships. Is our faith strong enough to push through temptations? Now that the book has been released; she is following her dream to make it into a feature film. Angel hired writer Reggie Gaskins to assist her with turning Reply or Delete into a short film. It has been nominated for 5 film festivals. She has also been nominated for best writer in a feature film, by The EOTM Award committee. After being nominated, Angel was offered a position to write and produce a segment of the award show. Angel has been writing for over 25 years, she has written a few scripts and has written a rough draft for Reality television and sitcoms.
She recently worked on her next project A.I.M Angry Insecure Men, dealing with domestic abuse. Angel Terron has started a campaign to rally against domestic violence. Her No AIM organization launched her stage play production in October 2013. She has also been attached to “Save 1000” a non profit organization for donate a life. Shooting 3 films a year she is fast approaching a name for herself. “The Wish” “The Itch” The Hills” The Tormented”.
Angel will launch a book tour winter 2021 and is in talks with a network for a feature film on Angry Insecure Men.
