New York, New York – November 2, 2019 – ModaBox, the leading-edge company that provides personalized shopping experiences for women and men, formally announced today that Alisha Crutchfield-McLean has been named Chief Executive Officer. Crutchfield-McLean is being appointed by founder and former CEO of ModaBox, Monica Phromsavanh.
“During my search for the role, I was looking for someone ambitious, a go-getter, humble, eager to grow, a dreamer like me, someone passionate about the business with stamina and grit to overcome challenges, and most importantly, who’s not afraid to be hands on to take things to next levels,” says Phromsavanh. “Knowing Alisha for several years and having worked with her in other projects, I’ve experienced her drive and desire to see projects come into fruition. Running a business with a lot of moving pieces is extremely challenging. However, in knowing Alisha personally and professionally, I knew she was the right person to take on the role.”
Alisha Crutchfield-McLean is a renowned fashion stylist and entrepreneur with over 16 years of experience in the fashion industry and business ecosphere. Her talents have been employed in high fashion, editorial, runway, theater, TV, film, and her work has regularly appeared in Vogue, Glamour, and Essence. Crutchfield-McLean previously served as a Contributing Marketing Editor for More Magazine before she founded StyleWise, a burgeoning wardrobe styling, production, and consulting firm which she operated as CEO for over 10 years. Crutchfield-McLean held the position of Fashion Director at the Miss Universe Pageant for four years before officially joining the ModaBox team.
“I’m beyond excited and humbled to be part of the next phase of growth for ModaBox and I anticipate utilizing my experience in building a fast-growing, fashion-forward, and customer-focused company.” Crutchfield-McLean says. “I truly admire Monica and the company for defining an entirely new category of shopping experience for consumers and for being an incredible role model for the next generation of female entrepreneurs and minority women in business.”
Crutchfield-McLean adds, “ModaBox has been offering merchandise across sizing categories from petite to plus size for women for years. Now it’s time to do the same for men. We’ve heard from ModaBox husbands, boyfriends and dads that they would love a ModaBox for themselves. This inclusion was only a matter of time and we are excited to bring this personalized shopping experience to men while continuing to pioneer new services for women.”
ModaBox is a rapidly growing digital e-commerce fashion platform for women. The same way Uber redefined the transportation industry by providing easy access to a personal driver, ModaBox makes the luxury of personal shopping accessible to every modern consumer. ModaBox combines the human touch with data and technology to deliver a box of personally styled outfits to shoppers’ doorsteps. By pairing customers with a personal stylist and sending them a quality selection of apparel items, pre-arranged in outfits, ModaBox reinvents the broken retail experience with the added benefits of convenience, personalization, and relationship building. ModaBox believes in sustainability and eliminating waste by now offering a sustainable box option. We understand that our fabrics aren’t completely sustainable, but we take on sustainability in a different way. We style and provide quality clothing that you can wear multiple ways and for a long time. That way, we consume less while looking our best.
