The United Forwarders Network (UFN) is an association of small to mid-sized and independent Freight Forwarders. The network, based in the USA, has members in over 50+ countries, 75+ cities, and 65+ companies.
The network’s members are the success and strength of UFN. Mr. Chris Ludwig, the network’s founder, says that “We take the pride to say that our members experience the power of unity. The nature of the UFN bonds members closer to each other, allowing them to compete with larger companies collectively.
Meanwhile, the members learn from the best practices of each other to find solutions to industry challenges together. Further, Ms. Nazia Qidwai, the Membership Engagement & Marketing Manager of the network, states that “Our members feel the primary benefit of the network is the annual meeting. Our conferences are social & interactive events that enable members to align and reach mutual business goals.”
The UFN boasts one of the highest shipment protection plans for members. UFN members contribute US$250 annually to the protection plan that provides insurance security on their shipments amongst members for up to US$20,000.
With an annual membership fee of only US$750, UFN has one of the lowest costs compared to other associations and freight forwarder networks. UFN even provides discounts for those registering multiple offices in different markets.
If you are a freight forwarder, you can join the network by visiting their website. Registration for the annual conference is now open. The next annual meeting is during May 2020 at the picturesque Lake Maggiore in Stresa, Italy, between 24th May – 26th May 2020.
