Riaz Counseling, a trusted Houston-based mental health practice, is set to open a new office in Sugar Land, Texas. This expansion reflects the growing demand for accessible, high-quality mental health care in Houston’s suburban communities, where stress, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges continue to rise.
The expansion to Sugar Land is part of Riaz Counseling’s broader strategy to provide mental health support across Greater Houston and ensuring clients receive compassionate care that powers their healing and promotes growth and self-discovery. Riaz Counseling anticipates that this new office will open in January 2026. “We are excited about this expansion,” said Dr. Manahil Riaz, the founder of Riaz Counseling. “Opening a new office in Sugar Land is a natural progression for us as we continue to bring mental health care closer to those who need it most.”
Founded in 2021, Riaz Counseling has grown into the go-to mental health practice for individuals, students, families, and couples seeking support and guidance. Riaz Counseling offers hybrid therapy services, with in-person sessions conducted at its offices in Houston, The Woodlands, and Sugar Land and online sessions tailored to fit into busy lives.
Recognizing the need for comprehensive mental health care, Riaz Counseling specializes in depression and anxiety, anger management, trauma, stress, cultural issues, relationship problems, and school issues. The practice utilizes evidence-based techniques such as EMDR with a compassionate approach to ensure that individuals, couples, and families find healing in a supportive space.
“Our mission has always been to remove barriers for those who may feel that therapy is out of reach due to distance, time, or cultural hesitations,” added Dr. Riaz. “We are creating safe spaces for people to talk, heal, and grow.”
To encourage more individuals, couples, and families to take the first step, Riaz Counseling offers new clients a free initial consultation with one of its therapists to explore therapy without financial or emotional pressure. This approach allows people to learn about the process and determine the best path forward for their healing in an informed way. Riaz Counseling also offers affordable therapy with interns for those who have limited access.
