Dr. Georgi Nenchev, an anesthesiologist at City Hospital in Rousse, Bulgaria, has released his debut novel, a gripping and unflinching thriller that explores the depths of corruption, violence, and the resilience of the human spirit.
The story follows a dedicated medical doctor who, after returning home from a grueling night shift, stumbles upon a brutal gang that exploits and murders young girls—men who appear to have ties to the government. In a shocking turn, the doctor undergoes a sudden mental transformation, unleashing his suppressed fury and skills to fight back.
What begins as an act of survival quickly evolves into a mission. Step by step, the doctor is pulled deeper into a secret global society of power and depravity, uncovering horrifying truths of exploitation and violence that span across borders. With each revelation, his resolve hardens—he will not stop until he eradicates those who thrive on cruelty.
“No one knows better how to kill than a man who saves lives every day. No one could be more brutal than one who cherishes life,” writes Dr. Nenchev, encapsulating the essence of his protagonist’s journey.
For Dr. Nenchev, this novel is more than just fiction. Inspired by his lifelong fascination with stories of Bulgarian heroes such as Chavdar the Chieftain, he channels his belief in resilience, justice, and the human spirit into every page. Through his writing, he aims to shine a light on the darker corners of power and corruption while reminding readers that there are always people willing to resist.
“This book shows the dark side of human nature, especially in high places,” says Dr. Nenchev. “But I strongly believe that there are still people who won’t give their souls to this darkness—and will fight it.”
This debut novel marks the beginning of Dr. Nenchev’s literary journey, blending his medical background, sharp eye for human behavior, and moral conviction into a powerful story that challenges readers to question justice, morality, and the cost of silence.
