Australian composer Alexander Sussman invites listeners on a deeply engaging journey of sonic calm with the release of his latest album, “Sonic Calm – Part One.” The album, marking Alexander’s second full-length release, showcases a rich and captivating sonic journey, allowing the lengthy compositions the space to organically evolve and mature. The first instalment in a two-album series, this beautiful work immerses audiences in the tranquil, meditative essence of New Age music, offering a serene escape from the complexities of modern life.
This album weaves lush soundscapes, stately melodies, and transcendent harmonies into a tapestry of calmness and introspection. With meticulous attention to detail “Sonic Calm – Part One” explores music at its most essential core creating a space for reflection and relaxation.
Alexander studied classical piano and composition at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. “This music is my attempt to describe deep meditative states not losing sight of my classical roots,” says Sussman, whose extensive experience and years of composing orchestral arrangements have shaped his unique sound. Drawing on his expertise, he crafts the album’s layered, electronic ensemble with the precision of a conductor guiding a symphony.
Standout tracks include “Hope,” also released as a single, and “Lullaby,” a soothing yet subtly unsettling piece. The compositions on the album all work together to exemplify the album’s ability to create moments of peace and wonder.
“Sonic Calm – Part One” is available for streaming and purchase on all major platforms, bringing this auditory experience to music lovers worldwide.
