New initiative aims to reduce landfill waste and promote sustainability across the state
As part of its continued commitment to customer care and environmental responsibility, SaveOnAutoGlass is proud to announce the launch of its new Eco-Friendly Windshield Recycling Program across Michigan.
Founded by Ray Yousif, SaveOnAutoGlass has long been recognized for providing affordable, high-quality auto glass repair and replacement services. With this new initiative, the company takes a bold step toward sustainability by responsibly recycling damaged windshields that would otherwise end up in landfills.
“We see thousands of windshields come through our shop each year, and it didn’t sit right knowing they could sit in landfills for decades,” said Ray Yousif, Owner of SaveOnAutoGlass. “This program is our way of giving back to the environment while continuing to serve Michigan drivers with excellence.”
Why Windshield Recycling Matters:
-
Over 15 million windshields are replaced in the U.S. annually
-
Traditional glass contains laminated plastic, making it difficult to recycle
-
SaveOnAutoGlass partners with certified recyclers to separate glass and plastic layers for reuse
-
Recycled materials can be turned into glass bottles, construction materials, and more
How It Works:
When a customer gets a windshield replacement through SaveOnAutoGlass, the old windshield is collected, processed, and sent to an approved recycling facility. This service comes at no additional cost to the customer.
The program is active in all service areas, including Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Sterling Heights, and throughout the state of Michigan.
A Greener Michigan Starts With Local Action
SaveOnAutoGlass encourages other auto service providers to adopt similar eco-conscious practices. By leading the way with this green initiative, the company hopes to raise awareness and set a new standard for sustainable auto repair.
