Founded by Emory University students Lira Liu and Felipe Cardozo Sr., Modari AI is addressing the growing demand for proactive, intelligent moderation on digital platforms. ModariBot acts as a 24/7 AI safety layer, scanning conversations in real time and removing abusive, manipulative, and predatory messages before human moderators even see them.
The bot’s rapid adoption was driven by Liu, who built the initial version, launched it in the Modari community Discord, and led the full go-to-market strategy. Through targeted outreach, viral campaigns, and relentless community engagement, Liu secured ModariBot’s first 15,000 users in under two days.

While Liu leads product growth and marketing, Cardozo Sr. heads development of Modari’s AI detection systems. His work focuses on training models that go beyond basic keyword filtering, identifying the subtle language patterns common in grooming, coercion, and emotional manipulation—behavior traditional moderation tools often miss.
