Las Vegas, NV – January 31, 2025 – The Larry Marcey Gallery is celebrating over a century of photography with a collection of iconic images that capture the depth, emotion, and resilience of human experiences. Showcasing the creative legacy of founders Larry Marcey and his wife, JosaFina, their collective portfolio spans decades of artistic exploration, from historic wartime photography to candid everyday moments.
“Our photography has always been about finding the story beneath the surface,” said Larry Marcey. “This collection allows us to share a meaningful narrative with our audience while honoring the experiences of those who lived it.”
The most notable part of this collection is Larry’s Tribute to Combat series, a poignant array of art prints based on photos taken during his time as a Grunt in Vietnam’s TET ’68. Unlike traditional war photography that focuses on devastation, Larry’s work highlights the beauty found in the daily lives of the soldiers – seeing beyond the chaos and into the human experiences.
Complementing this is JosaFina’s body of work, which combines traditional photography with her distinctive “free-shooting” approach. Her images explore candid and unfiltered moments, offering a dynamic contrast and depth to the gallery’s offerings. Her vision continues to influence the gallery’s offerings, even after her passing from a battle with cancer.
In addition to its historical and thematic photography, the centennial collection also includes a rare selection of celebrity tributes and art prints, each piece reflecting the Marcey’s commitment to storytelling through the art of photography. These collections aim to inspire audiences by offering a window into the past while celebrating the enduring power of visual storytelling.
This new collection is featured on the gallery’s online platform, allowing audiences to explore and engage with these works.
