GEORGIA, USA – Evelyn R. Cooke, a Staten Island native and Howard University alumna, is making waves in the food industry with her pastry business, Pastrie Art. After trading her corporate career for a spatula in 2017, Cooke has quickly become a beloved figure in Georgia’s culinary scene.
Cooke, who previously held the position of Senior Assistant Brand Manager for a multi-million dollar food brand, decided to follow her passion for the culinary arts. She studied Professional Pastry Arts at the prestigious International Culinary Center in NYC, the same culinary school attended by celebrity chef Bobby Flay.
Today, Cooke is a celebrated Pastry Chef based in Georgia, where she adds a sweet touch to events across the United States with her artistic pastry creations. From local event catering to her online store, Cooke has found her true medium of artistic expression in food.
Beyond her culinary endeavors, Cooke is also a dedicated mentor and teacher. She is passionate about supporting young Black and Latinx students and has been doing so since 2015 through her Dream Big ACHIEVE Scholarship Program. To date, she has awarded over $25,000 in scholarships, demonstrating her commitment to giving back to her community.
