Sarah Boyd, a teacher, actress, and producer, has been recognized for her educational children’s YouTube series, The Magical World of Molly. Since the first video aired late last year, the series has continued to deliver engaging content that entertains and educates young children from all backgrounds through play, song, and dance.
In The Magical World of Molly series, Boyd portrays Molly, a character known for her fun and charismatic personality and love for goofy voices, while also providing voiceovers for other characters and series favorites, such as Batdog, Boyd’s hairless half Chinese crested, half chihuahua, who draws excited reactions from young viewers. In just four months, Molly has brought viewers into her world and taken them on mystery picnics and kitty karaoke singalong adventures, and even taught do-it-yourself crafts, new songs, and educational lessons on topics from yoga to the autumn season.
“Growing up, I was always trying to entertain kids through play, song, and dance,” remarked Sarah Boyd. “Years later, I became a teacher because I really enjoy educating and interacting with kids, yet I continued to explore a second love for acting and improv. After a terrible home repair accident left me with a shattered pelvis, I was inspired to pursue my dream of creating fun and humorously engaging educational content for kids, effectively blending my two loves,” she added.
A fifth-grade English and reading teacher, church music director, and youth leader, Boyd previously played bass guitar and sang back-up vocals for a local Houston band, Mourning Bliss, and took improv classes at BETA Theater. Today, she passionately combines her experiences in the classroom with her talents as a singer and actress while making music and writing, editing, and producing the latest children’s series on YouTube, which has quickly earned praise for its interactive, engaging, and visually stimulating content.
