Birds Over Arkansas are back with their latest Single “Sunflower”. Described as a ‘poignant tribute to a fading summer’, the song has already started to accumulate rave reviews from several news and media outlets.
Sunflower paints a calm, reflective and joyful image, yet still has all the elements of a classic Americana song featuring rich harmonies.
Americana. Quirky. Upbeat. Harmonic. These are just a few words that come to mind when listening to Birds Over Arkansas – Americana Rockers whose influences span Tom Petty, Peter Gabriel, The Avett Brothers, Ryan Adams, and Iron & Wine. Their music infuses technical progressive rock styles with singer/songwriter sensibilities, while still maintaining accessibility for the listener.
“If Americana had an all-defining composite, “Sunflower” just might be it.”
Magnet Magazine
“The level of execution and HEART in the songs of Birds Over Arkansas is second to none – and they prove that without question on “Sunflower.”
Sleeping Bag Studios
“This band creates beautifully crafted songs, blending unorthodox song structures, technical progressive rock rhythms, and Americana instrumentation and harmonies, Birds Over Arkansas have a gift for crafting timeless music.”
Glide Magazine
“The music of Birds Over Arkansas is, as a rule perhaps, absolutely stunning. They describe it as Americana, but all genres and terminologies aside – it’s just beautiful, in every way; an incredible creation of music from a superbly talented trio.”
